We'll need to get a website up with basic information as soon as possible to help spread the word about the event. If anyone would be willing to help design the site/or know a designer that would be willing to help that would be much appreciated! We'll have a shoutout somewhere on the site for whoever is willing to do this. I can do the development side.

What equipment will we need to run the event? Here's what waffle.js has purchased for their event:

• Wireless Microphones
• Mixing board
• Gaffer Tape
• Mic wind screen
• HDMI cable + adapters
• XLR cables + adapters

Is there anything else we'll need? Do we know anyone that would be willing to help set up, run this equipment during the event?

We'll need to start looking into finding some companies to sponsor this event!

Ideally we could find 3 companies to sponsor each month's event at $500 per sponsor. WaffleJS & BrooklynJS have discounts for companies that want to sponsor consecutive months.

Sponsors receive their logo on the website, a minute of stage time, placement of swag and merch at event, and 2 free tickets for their employees to attend.

Any ideas on companies that might be willing to sponsor? I believe my company is in for at least one month.

We need to find a venue for pdx.js

Some requirements

• want to have it at the same place every month
• all ages
• free or under ~$200 to rent for around 4 hours
• can fit 60-100 people

Nice to haves:

• has beer/wine but not hard alcohol
• allows catering or has good food that could be catered/included in the ticket

Some ideas so far:

• EastBurn
• Coopers Hall - large, winery, might be expensive to rent
• Ecliptic Brewing
• Teote
• The Colony
• EcoTrust
• Off the Waffle

Things to note when touring places:

• Size: can it comfortably fit 60-100 people? Sitting? Standing?
• Equipment: does the venue come with AV equipment or is there a place where this could be set up?
• Pricing: How much will it cost for 4-5 hours on a weekday night?
• Food: Does the place allow catering or have catering options?
• Alcohol: What are the alochol options at the venue? Is it all ages before/after a certain time?
• Availability: Would it be easy to host this event every month at the venue?
• Location: Is it easy to get to? Is there public transportation nearby?
