Knuth Encoders are ugly
The algorithms as stated are very ugly to implement in a language that has no GOTO. I'm sure they can be restructured once I get my noggin wrapped around them.
No decoders work.

Mitchell decoders do not work.
Dr. Mitchell said:
- I wrote this over 20 years ago so I don't recall the details, but the decoding method works on only one application of the recursion, i.e. if you generated the algorithm by applying the recursion three times, then when decoding you have to (a) correct for the added 1 and 0 [i.e. the final constriction step where you fix the two punctures], then (b) apply the decoding algorithm 3 times.
This kinda makes sense to me, but only kinda. It might be a while 'till I have a working decoder.
