probably due to connecting to unsupported devices... should handle that better, timeouts, fail fast, etc

Under Windows10 (64) I get the following error box

"An Error Occured
Please check your device and try again"

When the error box is closed it does pop up the "Successfully Wrote Keys" box, and it has indeed wrote the correct data to the eeprom

Encapsulate serial properties into a class that gets passed to a SerialHelper. SerialHelper should push data into a queue, and stop manipulating the GUI directly. serial_helpers.py should have a __main__ that can send commands through the terminal.

Pretty sure this is caused by stray serial connection attempts that aren't timing out. You can kill the threads in the task manager. This bug prevents you from deleting the exe until the threads are killed
