NVG and energy

To use NVG, you need energy to turn on, but If you consume all energy with NVG, it dont turn off

Loot Spawns

It would be nice if you could fix the loot system so it works like the one on arma 2 epoch.I am not talking about the different containers nor the trash but rather what you find in there.There are several little fixes that I like to see.Here is my quick list:

  1. Don't let ammo spawn everywhere restrict it rather to military buildings and some households.The same applies to tactical jackets,you can find those in trash or garbage bins all the time.
  2. Fridges and Ovens should only contain food
  3. All weapons exept pistols should be only found in military bases,with exeption of the rollins rifle that I would count as a civilian weapon(like the Winchester,Lee Enfield or CZ550 from arma 2).Easy access to weapons leads to less player interaction and less progression.
  4. Trash should contain vehicle repair equipment and construction materials.Some food could spawn there also.

Those are just some ideas I have,you know your game better then anyone so its your choice in the end.I hope ive helped ya a bit and wish you good luck with this amazing mod!

Vehicle does not despawn when sold.

Done with the Hellcat, did not find car to try with. Sold multiple times with multiple people, with it not despawning. Each person got the full value of vehicle each time sold.

Vehicles ability

A few quick suggestions about vehicles

  1. Add ability to lock a car from inside a car so people can't jump in your car

  2. Add ability to access inventory & vehicle inventory from inside a car Done in 0.2.5

  3. The ability to shoot while a passenger. Being able to put a weapon out window and shoot. (It's already exist in some way with attachTo but i think it could be a better way ^^) [see : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tC9M4-vP3w ] Done by ArmA update

  4. Be able to move around in a vehicle big enough to walk around. Let's say you have a bus or a camper van, you should be able to walk around when it is stationary, and make thing like rest / storage thing / cooking / etc...

  5. Needing to open and close doors to get in. If I want to get in, I need to open my door. Or if I want to put stuff in the trunk, I need to open the trunk. (see : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENPsaOT5IlY )

  6. (linked to 5 in a way) Ability to remove vehicles doors. Removing the doors means you can get in faster, but have less protection. Like the guerilla pickup actually in ArmA 3

Trading rifle when the other player has no room

Hi Devs,

When trading main gun such as n MK200 when the other player has no room for it:

It removes the ammo and the optics to an unknown location then drops the weapon on the ground.

Not done enough testing to see what happens with other weapons but the above happened with an MK 200 and RCO attached.

Crash

Game crashed while playing in the OCAT1 server and now on reentry every time it begins to receive data the game crashes again. I can still log onto OCAT2 just fine, so i have no idea what the problem would be..

Duping Coveralls + a shared inventory bug

Hi Devs,

Below is a duping bug we discovered and retested to make sure its not a one off.

If you kill AI Infantry you cannot remove their clothes (coveralls).

However if you have space in your backpack you can drop them in and it will dupe the coveralls to the ground along with everything that you have in them.

This will cause a shared inventory bug. The players are currently sharing the items until they logout and the dupe becomes permanent.

Combolock

Hello.

Again, a quick suggestion about locks

First of all, add lock to lock doors etc... ^^

Made the default lock to 4 digits. The 4 digits could be upgradable to 5, then 6, then 7 digits by upgrading your combolock with a new trash loot like "Electronic component" or even different items depending on the lock "level" like this :
4 to 5 digits => 1 diode, 1 electric wire.
5 to 6 digits => 3 electric wire, 2 diodes and 1 resistors.
6 to 7 digits => 6 electric wire, 5 diodes, and 4 resistors

The visual could look like this :

Here you have the 4 digit code, and you actually see you can have it up to 7 by upgrading.

When you clic on a digit, you can change it manually.

On the right, top to bottom.

Save, well, to save the code ^^

Random will make a random code, respecting the numbers of digits available.

Upgrade, well, to upgrade. The button will look in your inventory, and if you have the required item(s), it will add 1 more digit available.

When you're on seven digits, the upgrade button could be removed, or disabled.

After server restart, I spawned not there where I logged out

After server restart, I spawned not there, where I logged out, I played on GPDE01 and 02, on 01 I logged out in a reed bush, on 02 I guess in a house. On both server, I spawned on the spawn island, like I died, but I did not die, I still had my gear.

Player death

When passing or trying to pass a player on stairs who ever is the one who gets bumped first ends up instantally dieing. This happens on all types of stairs even ladders i have seen it happen on.

This same bug seems to happen when walking threw doorways if you make contact with someone else going threw the door/doorway they die.
This has also been seen when looting objects but not as often as the above ones.

p2p trade rifle with ammo, ammo gone

I traded a rifle with an other player, there was ammo in that rifle, the other player received the rifle, but the ammo was gone.

Flashbang grenade

Hello,

Quick idea : the flashbang. Well, not much to say, a huge withe FLASH, and a loud BANG to temporarily disorient an enemy's senses.

This item could really be usefull in some situation :)

Duping Items

  1. I have managed to dupe a lot of things that a player is wearing when he/she dies.

  2. Trading guns that are in backpacks.

  3. "Ghost players" haven't really figured out how to replicate it yet, but have been able to dupe when a player crashes out of a game and they leave a body standing around.

Male(Female) characters lose vest items after equipping opposite sex's vest

It appears that the items that you have dissappear when you have the dan clothing. (only dan clothing)

I've had the items on me dissappear in the dan clothing after trading and after equiping a vest.

I tried it again and the same thing happend. Not sure if intentional (cause of dan clothing not having pockets) or if a bug.

Would be nice if someone else could also test this.

What I did is either trade while only having the dan clothing and some items on you.
Or have some items on you and equip a vest. !extra info! I bought the vest from the trader so it was in my dan clothing, after equipping it dissappeard.

New craftable item from lumber.

Having the ability to craft a non-persistent item like a raft/surfboard to cross the bays on the map or to reach shipwrecks if you cant find a boat.
Maybe 2 scrap pelt and 1 lumber would make a 2 person raft with a limited item storage.

Traders cause rollback after reconnecting

After i sold/bought something at a trader and I relog somewhen after that it causes my char to partially rollback. I get my gear back which i sold, lose my crypto and lose the "hours alive" i've gotten after selling. Strangly, it still saves my position I had before reconnecting. This is really miserable because it makes it impossible to trade without the help of mates who can sell stuff for me.

Buying chest rigs/backpacks

Noticed when trying to purchase a backpack or chest rig (if you don't already have one) the trader tries to put it in your inventory instead of on your player. Primary weapons and pistols automatically go into action slots. Most rigs and backpacks are too big to fit into other backpack/rigs so I'm not sure how we are supposed to purchase them. Ideally backpacks and chest rigs would go ON your toon after you complete your purchase if your toon isn't already wearing an item in that slot.

Submarine - Drowning

I drowned when I went down in submarine - may be working as intended and just need a rebreather.

cant buy Toolkits

you can sell Toolkits to Traders but cant buy them back. (happend on NRDE01)

Trader Item List

Hey gentlemen !

A really quick but very usefull suggestion

Could you stack items in trader list ?

Cause a list with 20 or more of one item is a pain to find what you look for.

So it could be show like this :

  • MXM x3
  • Orange Sherbet x14
  • Binocular x19

etc...

When you click on a item, it'll ask you how many do you wan't to buy, like the little dropdowncombo in crafting

And having a search bar to write down what you're looking for could be awesome too ^^

Desync with Debug Menu

I can see this being able to be abused in other ways, but when the server is desynced out and I was breaking down a trash pile and was able to run up 30+ soiled from the trash pile without destroying it. If other things are recorded similar than you can spam during desync.

Not Enough Room - Crafting

I tried crafting a vehicle repair kit with (1) Vehicle Part (1) Large Scrap Metal, during crafting it said I did not have enough room in inventory. This then deleted the crafting materials and did not return the vehicle repair kit. I wasn't able to try it again to test as the parts are a little hard to gather.

Blue locker front side back

Hey,

yesterday, with the new version, the blue locker (three doors) is standing with the back to the room, when I opend it, I was able to loot them, but the doors opend in the direction to the wall, so when I went into the room behind the locker, I was able to see the doors coming through the wall.

I found 2 or 3 of them, all the same, one near Lakka in the factory area, in the white two storey building close to the military base and one on the opposite side of the hill.

Cultist - Indoor Behavior

Was attacked by a cultist, despite looking directly at him with clear line-of-sight (office building next to the Stadium). He wandered into the building as I was looting a cabinet. Once I turned around, he didn't move, but still fired off 3 attacks that caused damage.

Remove thermal mode from the Hellcat

Well, i think the title is enought ? ^^

Currently, you're able to spot so easily with the hellcat !

But i don't want to see the hellcat removed, because i really like this heli for his look !

And don't remove if possible the entire camera ! Just the thermal mode !

I really don't know if it's possible, but i think it is. Maybe you'll have to do a brand new hellcat ?

Inventory is dissapeared

Playing on server NRED01, the inventory is disappeared after the reset, 19:00 pm, GMT+1.
Only weapon and munition. Backpack and vest were but all of them empty.
5 o 6 times occurred in other days.

Cooked Sheep Leg cant be eaten

Cooked Sheep Leg cant be eaten.
Works fine with "cooked goat leg".

Both crafted to the cooked Item at the same time (+/- 5secs).
Was the first time i crafted goat/sheep leg to each "cooked" variant.

Stun gun, ziptie, small knife

Hi.

What you guys think of adding those 3 items ?

A stun gun, like a tazer (so, small amout of ammo in magazin, like 2 to 5 MAX, and a cooldown between each shot), could stun someone for 10 sec, and during those 10 secondes, you can run to the stunned guy, and restrain him with ziptie.

When you are restrain, if there is no-one around you in a radius of 20m, you are automaticly unrestrain after 10 minutes

When you are restrain, you can't do anything, but if you have the item "Small Knife", you can press a key (like CTRL + I), and there is a chance (let say 40%) that you unrestrain yourself, with a little wriggle animation

So, why adding those items ? Well, as a roleplay player, i'd like to have the opportunity to NOT kill a player, but to be safe by immobilize him ! Plus, i'd like to have the chance to TALK with people ;)

Don't give the server owner full access to the database

He folks,

I got some experience with dayz epoch, if you got a currency in the mod, the admins / server owner should not have access to the database!

I hope there will be a hive system for the player and the currency, the objects can be on the hosters server, but the currency should not be in the admins hands, at least on the vanilla servers.

crypto card

How much time does crypto card need to disappear?
I was killed by IA. Anybody in server. When I arrived to my corpse, all were there but no crypto card. Take crypto action didnt appeared.

Sound from Cultist Fireballs and fire places

After getting attacked by the Cultist the sound from the fireball is constant and will not go away unless you relog into the server. This also occurs with the noises from a fireplace. I dunno if this is an arma sound issue or something you guys could do about it.

Not able to sell a boat

Hi folks,

maybe bad luck on the DE02 server, but I was not able to find a trader where I can sell a boat, I guess the traders were not close enough to the shore, or the selling distance for boats is not high enough.

Death by jumping

yesterday a friend and me were jumping over a fence..

i was jumping first (while running with a friend nearby). my friend jumped right after, and over me... i got killed by that..

[Suggestion] Money System

Money system could use some tweaks and loving eventually. I'm sure you have some of these, if not all in the works, but I figured I'd post anyway.

Picking up money from dead bodies can be miserable, it seems like the current way it drops does not always work, and often becomes lost.

When storage is implemented better, it would be great to store Krypto.

Trading Krypto to friends, I haven't found a way to do this, but it would be very nice for group play.

Cultist

Hi Devs,

Cultist's currently drop "Unknown" as clothing.

If you loot it while you are wearing something like a gillie suit it will dupe it.

Once duped it will then share the inventory with any player that picks up the duped clothing.

Meaning if 2 players are unaware of this they will be robbing each other every time they move something from the gillie suit into their own bags.

Have a video if you need it as it confused the hell out of us.

Current fix is to both log out to stop the shared inventory.

Lockable backpack

Would it be possible to have a key (like F1 or something) to lock / unlock your backpack (default on login is lock). I've see that on a few Altis Life server, so i think it's not really hard ^^

When you die or put the backpack on the ground, the backpack is unlocked.

When you found a backpack, it should be unlocked until you put them on your character.

With this system, your backpack would be safe, and with unlocked backpack on the ground / dead bodies, not hard to transfer gear when you found a new backpack / loot a body.

What you guys thinks about that ?

Base Building vs housing

Hi folks,

I got a big concern, that Arma 3 can not handle enough object for the modular base building like neither Arma 2.
We have had a poplular Dayz Epoch Server, but there was a big problem with the number of obejects, when we reached 3-4k of objects, we went into troubles, with 4k+ it was nealy not playable.

Epoch was for me the best mod beside origins, but with that object issue we/I stoped or project.

If Arma 3 can not handle for example 10k+ objects, you can do also:

  • Housing like in Altis life, there are enough houses on Altis, so the player should be able to buy a house licence, with it he can buy/rent a house (but there should not be loot in that house then) and lock/unlock the doors of this house, he should be able to place a safe or so in this house, you can find a sample script when you use google
  • house building like in Dayz Origins, the player can build a standard house in three steps, that means, every house is only one object

That could be also options beside you modular base building.

For me it would be also enough to own/rent a house, but I like also to build modular, but if we run in issues because the numbers of objects...

Change respawn clothes

Hello.

IMO, it's really weird to "spawn" like this, in underpants, so why not adding a random selection between all poloshirt clothes like those one ?

yesterday when i try to sort my stuff.. i put some things on the ground like a Multi-Gun, a vest some ammo and a carcasse. a Dog came by to eat everything in one go... ๐Ÿ‘ฏ

NRED01 Server lag

We were reporting a lot of lag this evening 5-7 pm gmt+1.

Other players said that occurred the same the day before.

Players jumping, fourniture didn't open properly, groups didn't show all players inside, etc.
