puppet-check_mk's Issues

hiding tests?

I'm using this module to monitor Openstack, this means running the agents on both VMs and physical computes. I have lots of false warnings on fs_* that don't exist (but I have no clue what discovers them), IPMI parameters out of range (but I have no clue how to override the threshold settings), Too many Threads (Again, how to ignore or change thresholds?), and many virtual network bridges and interfaces blinking in and out of existence which I want CheckMK to ignore.

In short, I need some better documentation, because grepping through sources and the Check_MK docs is not helping, and I'm a bit lost as to which file creates what config etc.

More docs, or specific clues, please?

running on ubuntu 12 does not install agent correctly as the package name is defined wrong

The actual package name is check-mk-agent not check_mk-agent in ubuntu 12.04

Future of this module

Hi there,

This module has not been updated for quite some time. Still I love it and it has been forked multiple times. The most recent version is https://forge.puppet.com/gnubilafrance/check_mk

Based on that module I have create support for Puppet version 5 & 6. Aswell as been working on support for Debian 8&9 and RHEL 6&7.

I am wondering what your plans are for the future of this module. Are you planning to keep it? In my opinion it is quite hard to find a good module for check_mk on the forge. There are roughly 10 modules which all do something with check_mk or omd. So lets clear up to noise and deprecate those modules.

I would like to hear your opinion about this.

undefined method `each'

Hi,

I have tried to run install your Puppet module, however, every time I run it I am getting this:

Error: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: Failed to parse template check_mk/all_hosts_static.erb:
Filepath: /etc/puppet/environments/development/modules/check_mk/templates/all_hosts_static.erb
Line: 2
Detail: undefined method `each' for nil:NilClass
at /etc/puppet/environments/development/modules/check_mk/manifests/config.pp:25 on node omd.tba.hyperneph.com
Warning: Not using cache on failed catalog
Error: Could not retrieve catalog; skipping run

I have Puppet Master 3.7 and Puppet agent 3.8 and the OS is CentOS

Could you please help me solve the issue?

Thank you,

Kind regards,
Sergiu
