When using the NOS website, broadcasts can be viewed in HD. This plugin however seems to use lower definition urls.

It seems that you have to select quality manually on the nos site, and might be based on the default selection that the browser does based on the internet connection? It also does not support HD it seems.

On Ubuntu-based XBMC, this works. On Debian-testing-based XBMC, I can only hear the audio, the screen remains black. Both run XBMC 11.0.

I don't think this issue is XBMC-plugin.video.nos related, streaming video (like Nederland 24) works. I am hoping that the proper knowledge and information will improve my chances of remedying this.

What is the filetype of the streams? Any idea what codec is responsible?

Since this is the only way I like to watch the news, I like to eliminate every obsolete button press.. Combine that with an absolute hate for everything soccer/football related and the request to remove the menu option WK 2014 is the logical outcome :P

So could you please remove the WK 2014 menu option :) or at least make it a setting to be able to hide it.

The fork from https://github.com/artofcode/XBMC-plugin.video.nos does list items (see active pull request), but it only plays the items when added to favorites.

Since a few of weeks there are no listings anymore under "Laatste Journaals". The other two items ("Jeugdjournaal" and "Journaal op 3") are working fine. What could be wrong?

The NOS app on Kodi that I use to watch the latest broadcasts of the NOS 8-uur journaal suddenly stopped working. I could see the broadcast of April 6th but that days after that day the list of available broadcasts is not updated anymore. I use Kodi Isengard which is installed on my QNAP NAS HS-251.

Getting plugin errors when trying to play the news the last week or so.

Either the NOS site changed internally and the plugin needs to adapt, or my Xubuntu/XBMC machine changed something required by the plugin.

Can someone confirm?

I've been using this plugin for watching the news since I don't have a TV. :D
