One often-used algorithm for entering answers is to:

1. Let person A enter answers while person B reads them aloud
2. Let person B check the answers while person A reads them aloud

It would be nice if enter made it easier to read the entered answered, e.g. by rendering additional spaces between the answers or by using colouring.

Eliminate the two-person process where one reads and the other checks the typed in answers for errors: employ some text-to-speech technique.

• full blown text-to-speech is likely overkill
• upload of a few audio files and selective playback should be enough?
  • letters (for the answers)
  • numbers (for the questions)
  • "error" (signal user)
  • "next" (signal user)
  • "no answers" (signal user)
• adjustable speed
• pause functionality
• start from functionality
• only say "next" every few questions?

I thought it would be neat if the following key bindings were active while entering answers:

1 -> a
2 -> b
3 -> c
etc...
This way you don't need to move your left hand at all and your right hand is free to turn pages :)

Thoughts:

It has actually been disrequested by others.

The risk of not spotting missclicks is much higher when using buttons which are close to each other, yet they all produce 'valid' answers.
e.g. a missclick of "v" instead of "b" will be caught.

If implemented, it should not be enabled by default, it should come with a warning -- perhaps encouraging the use of the sounds.
