I just installed your package, very excited to try it. I called go-play
with the intent to view an SGF file and was greeted with this error. Then I tried go-view-sgf
and got the same error.
And indeed, gnugo
is not in the backends.
Does el-go supercede go-mode? The two projects have a file (name) in common: go-board.el.
Also could you please move bundled libraries (gnugo.el) to a separate directory and protect that from being added to the load path by adding file .nosearch. Only load the bundled file if the library cannot be found an the load-path. This is how gnus does it:
(eval-when-compile (require 'cl))
(eval-and-compile
(or (ignore-errors (progn
(require 'json)))
;; gnus-fallback-lib/ from gnus/lisp/gnus-fallback-lib
(ignore-errors
(let ((load-path (cons (expand-file-name
"gnus-fallback-lib"
(file-name-directory (locate-library "gnus")))
load-path)))
(require 'json)))
(error
"json not found in `load-path' or gnus-fallback-lib/ directory.")))
Require 'go
and emacs tells me cl-mode deprecated?
Any updates please? A promising package.
Here is the MELPA recipe:
(go :fetcher github
:repo "eschulte/el-go"
:files (:defaults "backends/*.el" "stone.wav"))
But when I install go in melpa, and load it, got error:
(file-error "Cannot open load file" "no such file or directory" "back-ends/gtp.el")
#<subr require>(gtp "back-ends/gtp.el" nil)
ad-Advice-require(#<subr require> gtp "back-ends/gtp.el")
apply(ad-Advice-require #<subr require> (gtp "back-ends/gtp.el"))
require(gtp "back-ends/gtp.el")
Then I checked ~/.emacs.d/elpa/go-2016.../
. Have not found dir back-ends/
