Issues with building version for Azure IoT Hub on ArcGIS 10.9

Hi there

I tried to compile the code for GeoEvent on 10.9 but ran into some issues.
Please find attached the logfile when running mvn install -X
debug.txt
I trust this should suffice to pinpoint the issue but feel free to reach out if you require more information.

Thanks a lot for looking into this, much appreciated...

Installation issue

Hi Esri Geoevent team,

Apologies me on this basic question. I am new to Java and maven world. This is my first experience with building custom connector. As part of one of my requirement, I am trying build this connector as per guide. I have successfully installed maven and when I try to run install command

Since am running this command in windows server - I guessed this may be proxy issue, I tried editing
E:\maven\apache-maven-3.6.0\conf\settings.xml to include user name, proxy and host and port . I know this works, because I can access the maven plugin path

But still I see the error. Please help me if I miss something .

Issue with EventHub in GeoEvent Server 10.8

@eironside - in referenced to another closed ticket about compatibility. #4

We're receiving the error referenced below when we try and deploy the transport to EventHub in GeoEvent server. I believe it has to do with the package org.apache.qpid.proton.j that the plugin is using and the version of the JRE that 10.8 is running.

Azure IOT Hub Input connector in GeoEvent Server 10.9 not running

Hi

I am trying to utilize Azure IOT Hub Input connector in GeoEvent Server 10.9. After configuration, when starting up the connector, we met the following errors as attached

image

Would it be related to JRE8? Now the GeoEvent Server is using OpenJDK. Any suggestion for solving this issue?

openjdk version "11.0.9.1" 2020-11-04
OpenJDK Runtime Environment AdoptOpenJDK (build 11.0.9.1+1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM AdoptOpenJDK (build 11.0.9.1+1, mixed mode)

Unable to utilize the Azure Event Hub connector in GeoEvent Server 10.8.1.

Hi Guys,

I am trying to utilize Azure Event Hub connector in GeoEvent Server 10.8.1. After importing the transport and adaptor's .jar file, I am getting an error message related to anonymous ciphers not being a part of the supported list of ciphers. Below are the ciphers particularly for which the error is invoked:

TLS_DH_anon_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA, SSL_DH_anon_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA, SSL_DH_anon_WITH_DES_CBC_SHA, SSL_DH_anon_EXPORT_WITH_DES40_CBC_SHA

Upon further research, it seems that this error is related to the use of different jre versions. I suspect that this could be related to the jre version used in GeoEvent Server 10.6 for which the transport and adaptors are created.

Could you please confirm if we already have this connector upgraded to version 10.8.1 or if we even need to upgrade it? Also, if we do require update, it would be great if you could point me to the correct path.
