About The Project

This is a Bot that always tells you when there are new free games on Steam. These games are not always free. They count as purchased games and will stay on your account if you redeem them in time.

The Bot will text you via Telegram.

Usage

Write a message to @FreeSteamOffers_Bot
Press Start on the bottom of your screen
Select what type of notifications you want

From now on the Bot will tell you when there are new free games.

User can subscribe to receive free games several times

Somehow I got two messages about a free game. That is, the bot doesn't have a check for an existing subscription on receiving "free games".

Crawling on SteamDB does not work anymore

SteamDB stopped crawling of the Free Games with Cloudflare Captcha. Have to find a new way to crawl...

Aparently not work in groups

Ive try to put the bot inside a group, but apparently not works. When you try to call /start@botname the bot not responds. Is this a bug?

Is the telegram bot still working?

I added the telegram bot to a group of friends, it worked perfectly, but since a few weeks ago it stopped working, since August 3 it no longer gave notifications.

I appreciate the functionality of the bot.

Please can you make an option to let the bot posts in a specific group topic and posts in channels

Suggestion to mirror msges from r/steam at discord.

There are not only games and dlcs but also steam events, free items in points shopws etc. I would like to be notified outside of discord area,
