We need to find a way to delay the network arbitrarily.

Possible solutions/hacks:

• Write multiple versions of the server that simply ignore or doesn't accept messages
• Shadow the Rpc module with our own testing module

For two reasons:

1. Easier to debug
2. More visualization

Currently, we are doing a timeout every time a network connection fails to establish, in order to avoid doing endless retries and yield time to the cpu. The current default timeout is 0.5 second, although this isn't necessarily the most ideal. The challenge is to find a good balance between yielding enough time to the cpu while still keep on retrying network connection in short periods of time.
