After updating to OS Ventura 13.2, I get an error when using Force Paste. Error is:

Force Paste is not allowed to send keystrokes.
System Events for an error: Force Paste is not allowed to send keystrokes. (1002)

Since upgrading to Mojave, I now get an error "Force Paste is not allowed to send keystrokes. System Events got an error: Force Paste is not allowed to send keystrokes. (1002)"

Tried a rebuild, no change

I am on Mac OS X Catalina. I have a password in 1Password consisting entirely of ASCII letters, numbers and punctuation. I copy it, but my cursor in the password field for Microsoft Teams for Mac OS X, and click Force Paste in my dock. I can see the password field is populated by a string of obscured characters so I click Sign-in. Microsoft Teams rejects the sign-in attempt, saying my password is incorrect.

When I repeat the experiment by typing my password manually I can sign in.

Is there some way I can check that the password being entered is the password I expect?

I recently copied a huge piece of JSON into my clipboard (12k characters) and then must have accidentally clicked on the icon in the dock with my touchpad. My computer was unresponsive for 20 minutes as it entered all of this text, not to mention doing weird things like changing settings in programs and such when I tried to hit some keys like ⌘ to try to stop it.

I don't know what the answer is here. Maybe to prevent pasting over a certain number of characters? I guess I could make my own version of the script that does that, but I wanted to ask for feedback on this to see if there's a better solution.

Hi, Thanks for a great script. It seems as though Big Sur no longer allows this activity even with FP accessibility enabled. Would appreciate any ideas on how to work around as FP is so handy.

When pasting a string of characters many are transformed cap->lower case numbers missing, other changes. Here's some examples:

1. randomly generated string
2. pasted into mac notes app
3. pasted into windows 10 login

So it is working at least to paste within mac applications but something happens to the text when pasted into the windows 10 login prompt running on parallels.

up until right before i updated the macos on my mac with M1 chip to sonoma (14.1.1), force-paste was able to paste tabs. now that no longer works. the script seems to paste each character up until the first tab it encounters and then it aborts

I don't know why, but it won't paste numbers. No problem with letters and symbols but numbers just won't paste.
Any idea what could be the cause of this ?

I’m trying to paste a complex password that uses ‘ü’, but when I copy it and Force Paste does its thing, it’s change to a regular ‘a’

The problem lies in AppleScript’s “keystroke”, which only outputs characters immediately available on a typical English keyboard. I don't know what to do about it.

I primarily working in a Mac environment, when I have to use Force Paste for Windows application on my Mac, it paste incorrect information. So if a password has @ in it, it will paste a 2 in Windows, any thoughts or ways I can fix this?

Installed via brew cask install force-paste, and getting the error “Force Paste” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

This issue seems to be related to the notarization (Ref: whomwah/qlstephen#81)

Workaround for now:

1. Go to /Applications/Force Paste.app/Contents/MacOS/applet, right-click, click Open
2. Go to System Preferences, Security & Privacy, click Open Anyway for Force Paste.
3. Ref to #7 and enable the Accessibility

Just after update on mac to day force paste is prevented. Tried to remove from all locations in System > Privacy and rebuild force paste several times but it does not get new permission. Did uncheck often the box in Automation too, then tried erasing all in category automation by a tccutil reset AppleEvents, but force past did not ask again for new permission.

any way to help figure out?
