ssh-search-provider's Issues

Gnome-console

Hi,

I use gnome-console a lot, i love the title bar color feature (purple for ssh connexion, red for root rights for example).
Can you handle it ?
I cannot find a config that work for it ... when i click a search result, it correctly opens gnome-console, but with no ssh connexion, only as if i open gnome console by myself ...

Installation not possible in Fedora29

Hey, I am using Fedora 29 - Workstation and am getting an error during the installation of the extension. I don't know, if this may a problem with my setup (gnome-terminal is removed) or with the distro / shell version.

May you have a look in it? If something is needed from my side to debug the issue, please feel free to reach out to me.

Thanks for the awesome idea. I hope to get it running soon.

How about parsing /etc/ssh/ssh_config.d/?

Would be nice if files found in /etc/ssh/ssh_config.d/*.conf and possibly ~/.ssh/ssh_config.d/*.confwould also be parsed.

If you have a lot of hosts with custom SSH ports and also multiple clients to setup, its easier to just drop a separate file in one of the include directory.

Include /etc/ssh/ssh_config.d/*.conf is set by default in /etc/ssh/ssh_config in Debian based distributions, like Ubuntu and probably others.

Thank you for your consideration.

Only first line parsed?

Hi,

I am not able to ssh to one ofthe hosts I defined in .ssh/config & .ssh/known_hosts. The files are available for download here:
sshdebug.tar.gz

When searching for zabbix or chiaraguin nothing is found. When searching for andreas@ or root@ I get 'andreas@object:undefined' or 'root@object:undefined'.

What I tried so far is:

  • watching logfile via: journalctl -f
  • when searching I get:

JS ERROR: Exception in callback for signal: activate: ReferenceError: substr is not defined
activateResult@/home/andreas/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/[email protected]/extension.js:252:13

This seems not to be the reason. I tried as well:

  • adding global.log('[SshSearchProvider]',content);; after ...load_content in _onConfigChanged and _parseKnownHosts
  • watching logfile only give me the first lines of both files

But I am not an expert in JS at all - so its not unlikely I missed the main part ;-).

I am running:

  • Ubuntu 18.04.1
  • Shell version: 3.28.3
  • Extension version: 3
