About The Project

What The Wine is an educative project conceptualized, managed, and implemented by students of TechLabs Berlin.

Usage

Endless selections of wines in stores can be overwhelming.
What the Wine makes enables users to pick the the right wine no matter the occasion in an easy and straightforward manner.
Based on a simple search form with filters such as the type of wine, desired food pairings and preferred price ranges, the user gets instant wine recommendations alongside the most essential information about the wines suggested.

Getting Started

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple steps.

Installation

prerequisites: you must be provided with the .env files for the app to run. Please contact us if needed.

  1. Clone the repo
    git clone https://github.com/github_username/repo_name.git

Express app

  1. Install dependencies inside the backend directory
    npm install
  2. Run the app
    npx nodemon index.js

React app

  1. Install dependencies inside the frontend directory
    npm install
  2. Run the app
    npm start

License

What the Wine is intended solely for education purposes. The web app is not intended for any commercial, monetary, or data sharing use.
