Need to evaluate what is actually happening throughout the plugin and create unit tests. This is probably a requirement for adding any other type of VCS driver.

After composer require fancyguy/composer-wordpress-plugin :

More consideration needs to be made on how to handle these. May be able to sniff out mu-plugins from the plugin metadata. Drop-ins can be detected by the particular drop-in filename, detecting conflicts preemptively will be difficult. Pluggables may not be able to be detected efficiently.
