Mixxx does not save the settings on proper quit or shut down.
The audio output routing is saved but not the controller mapping/selection, interface skin and others.
But nevertheless nice build, it's running smooth on the RPI 4 4gb.

thank you for this great distro. I am using v2 on a Raspi 4B since a while now and had no issues. But now I created a new SD card with the newest release v3 and for some reason the update of the date is not working. I tried to sync/activate with datetimectl, but it tells me there is no ntpd and it is not syncing. I let the Pi run for several hours, network connection is fine, but still no updates, it is always June for the Pi. Am I missing something here?

Happens when playing with FX or opening up a new tiled window.

There is no functionality for mounting a flashdrive, and once mounted a rekordbox formatted flashdrive is unrecognizable by mix.

Do you have any performance specs for this build?
As you know, Raspi 4 boards have different RAM-sizes, so I want to

This is probably easy, but how do I add a controller definition to Mixxx? I'm trying to add the DDJ-SB3 definition that's floating around. It says I can either run a script or manually copy the files. I was able to copy the Pioneer-DDJ-SB3-scripts.js
Pioneer-DDJ-SB3.midi.xml files to my /code/res/controllers folder but they don't appear in the dropdown menu in Mixxx.

I can't load a theme minimal resolution that I have downloaded open source.

Where I can find the .mixxx/theme folder ?

I am unable to get HDMI audio working, I have tried all the relevant walkthroughs I could find, involving editing /boot/config.txt and updating the /usr/share/alsa/cards/vc4-hdmi.conf

I really hit a wall here, and I am wondering how to enable HDMI audio? am I missing something?

Everything is in the title. I'd like a super portative setup, with cheap hardware and a small LCD screen. The idea is to always have a backup even if someone spills its drink on the cdjs ( 💯 )

Hi, i'm using the last image available and i have installed the update mixxx apk from daily pipeline build.

I have a raspberry 4 4gb ram, music played from usb3 stick drive (tried with internal sdcard first).
2 decks, easy waveform (gl), tried even to disable waveforms

As title say: the interface freeze for a while when there is a scratch event ongoing.

Tried even the overclock params suggested in boot/config.txt

Any hint? Or is it a normal behavior? I tought it was enough powered to run

I did this installation and it all seems to work, but when I plug in my USB, does not pop up in the library menu. When I plug the USB in my laptop it works fine.
Any idea why this is the case? And are there other ways to install music on the Pi?

Hello, I'm looking for a way to start Mixxx with activated vinyl control.

I changed vinylcontrol 0 to 1 in /.mixxx/mixxx.cfg. But to no avail.

mixxx& sleep 10&& xdotool key Ctrl+t unfortunately doesn't produce the desired result on the PI.

Does anyone have an idea.

I just downloaded the latest version and installed it in my Rpi4 8gb and all i get seems to be an almost black version

on the left corner is a litte blue sign that reads "1:Mixxx" and on the right corner i see "No IPv6 / 22.5gb / W: down / E: down / no battery / 0,01/ and the current date

waited several minutes and nothing happened, cant click anything, can open console but didn't found a helpful command

I am using a RPi 4 with the 7'' RPi Touchscreen.
I flashed the SD and booted the RPi.
After the colored testdisplay, the "resizing the storage"- image and the text(?) with all the green [OK]s, I'm getting a black screen.
I've waited for at least 15 min but nothing happened.
Maybe it's due to the screensize? No skin in mixxx can be downscaled to 800x480, so I needed to change the skin.xml in my old RPi setup with the normal Desktop .img .

Any clues?

I'm using one of the 7" touch screens. It works great with the minimal skin, but vinyl control is stuck in relative mode. There are some buttons cut off at the bottom, but according to your screenshots, none of them are the rel/abs buttons.

The menu on the right won't seem to open, either, which I thought might be hiding them.

P.S. Performance is spectacular, and the image worked 1st try! Thanks for all the hard work! :D

Hi, is there an easy method in this to change the screen resolution? mine comes up at 4k by default and the normal config.txt settings for display resolution only seem to apply until the GUI starts. I want to be able to force it to 720p. Thanks,

Mixxx 2.4 is now in beta (available from the mixxxbetas PPA, but the generated image still comes with the last alpha version.

Hello! Loving this build. The only issue I've run into is that I can't seem to set the permissions for my midi controller. Any Midi controller I plugin will give me the warning: USB Permissions problem (or device error) your account needs write access to USB HID.
I am really not sure how to fix this little problem. I appreciate the help.

Given that this is a distro to use mixxx on a raspi with a hardware dj controller I guess it makes sense to ask this question here.

Which alternative raspberry pi would you recommend nowadays? The raspis are hard to get and the mixxx wiki and forum doesn't make it easy to find the recommended hardware specs … how much cpu/ram/aso is needed/ideal?

Another interesting aspect, adding a virtual keyboard (Onboard) so that when you click on the search tab in the library you can write, since it is missed.

This might be specific to me, I wanted to test drive this on the Pi3 that i had laying in a drawer and it seems to work better than i was able to get it to run on stock Rasperry Pi OS, however I noticed one thing that didn't go away was sound artifacting when the screen is drawing.

There are no buffer under runs reported in the sound settings and i have it set to max buffer size with a sample rate of 44100.
The built in output seems to be fine though, no pops or cracks in the audio, it seems specific to usb sound interfaces.

The interface in question is the built in interface for the Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk1, which works fine otherwise.

Could it be a USB Bus saturation issue with it being shared on the Pi3? or something that can be fixed in software.

I have also tested combining the 2 cards, Master going to the Pi's 3.5mil jack and headphones only to the Kontrol S2 and the problem is the same. Built in output crystal clear, headphone (USB) output crackly.
