Hi!
I think this belongs to Clight actually ;) moving it!
Btw Clight offers a neat custom module to do exactly that (ie: inhibit backlight autocalibration and set 100% backlight whenever a movie starts), see it here: https://github.com/FedeDP/Clight/wiki/Custom-Modules#inhibit-backlight
You just need to also set the temp; i can guide you if you need ;)
If you instead prefer the DBus approach, i can work on that; it is a nice little improvement, i agree!

Hi! Latest master exposes org.clight.clight.Conf.Gamma.Toggle method to toggle between states' temps, like:
busctl --user call org.clight.clight /org/clight/clight/Conf/Gamma org.clight.clight.Conf.Gamma Toggle
