Here is a diff in header between a file written to an output file (top) and to stdout (bottom):

It looks like the header is written after file encoding is complete using fseek, which is not supported for stdout.

As a consequence, the generated file cannot be decompressed by "mac".

I do not know where you learn coding, but
m_RangeCoderInfo.low -= m_RangeCoderInfo.range * RANGE_TOTAL_1[nOverflow];
m_RangeCoderInfo.range = m_RangeCoderInfo.range * RANGE_WIDTH_1[nOverflow];

RANGE_TOTAL_1 size is 65
but
RANGE_WIDTH_1 size is 64
so if overflow == 64, where second statement will take value? from your Grandfather?
