phantomjs-on-raspberry's Issues

All websites contain the same HTML

from selenium import webdriver
driver = webdriver.PhantomJS()
driver.get('putanywebsitehere')
driver.page_source
''

This shouldn't happen, the page_source does not contain real source code, meaning nothing else works either

Failed to install on Raspbian Stretch Lite

Trying following commands as root

wget https://github.com/fg2it/phantomjs-on-raspberry/blob/master/rpi-2-3/wheezy-jessie/v2.1.1/phantomjs_2.1.1_armhf.deb

And then

root@pi:~# dpkg -i phantomjs_2.1.1_armhf.deb
dpkg-deb: error: 'phantomjs_2.1.1_armhf.deb' is not a debian format archive
dpkg: error processing archive phantomjs_2.1.1_armhf.deb (--install):
 subprocess dpkg-deb --control returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:
 phantomjs_2.1.1_armhf.deb

Any advice ?

Does not work on Debian Stretch

Thanks for this! I got it up and running on Raspberry Pi 3 on jessie. However, after an upgrade to stretch, I get an error โ€” QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display โ€” when I run it. In retrospect, that's not surprising since your repo clearly says it's for wheezy and jessie.

Any pointers for making it work on stretch?

Thank you

Hi, sorry for leaving this as an issue but I couldn't find another way to contact you. Just wanted to say thank you for compiling these for arm64/debian. You've saved me such a huge amount of headache I can't even tell you.

If you have some instructions on how you got these compiling as I tried the instructions on phantomjs' site but it fails in a docker container. I just happened to find someone had linked to this repo on a Stack Overflow!

Latest build not working on Raspi 2 Jessie 4.4.32

uname - a: 4.4.32+ #924 Tue Nov 15 18:06:42 GMT 2016 armv6l GNU/Linux (latest updates)

  • .deb is seen as 'not a debian package'
  • phantom binary throws segmentation fault

Any plans to put a newly compiled version on github?

All the best, and thanks for the work
