Currently the screenshotter uses the non-transparent black background. We should allow the user to choose to use either black or transparent.

Allow the user to specify a special directory for screenshots made by this plugin.

(Current default: OpenRCT2\screenshot)

Use wisnia74's template to re-implement this plugin with actual good tooling

Allow the user to enter their own pattern for filenames, instead of sticking with the default. (The default is: "Park Name yyyy-MM-dd hh-mm-ss.png")

It would be nice if the chosen viewport/interval settings are saved between sessions. If I restart the game, all settings are reset to their defaults. I used your plugin to make this timelapse but one of the days I forgot to set the rotation angle to "all four" again so I had to manually go back to my backup saves to get the missing screenshots for that day. 😢

You can easily save the configuration settings for the plugin using the shared storage API.

Since the plugin can only hook into events that fire when the game is unpaused (instance.tick and instance.day), the screenshotter tool will never fire if the game is paused. So if someone is building in pause mode (which is possible with cheats), their progress will not be screenshotted.

1. Set interval to a value greater than 1.
2. Close the window.
3. Re-open the window.
4. The interval appears to be re-set back to 1, but the actual value hasn't changed, just the display.
