compile all the nice stories of the PRs to a blog like thingie!
My list of cities is getting so big that you barely see the cities. I would love to have the list of cities folded to one line with a "... more" link that opens the fold.
What do you think?
I would love to contribute for it. Is there a staging area for testing or can I only do it locally?
http://skade.hasbeen.in/ is missing the marker for "Victoria Falls".
I was in Livingstone in Zambia, not in Livingstone in the US. :)
In app/views/location/overview.erb
the phrasing to indicate where the traveller has been should be changed. Currently the phrase has been in
is used, which is not quite correct English - alternatives include has been to
or has visited
.
Pedant monkey is pedantic. 🐒
It would be awesome to see a world map with all the places on the landing page for a user
Can you leave your current hometown here so we don't get 100000 pull requests? I'll create a pull request and add all of yours. :)
I'd like to publish the repo and I don't need the plain addresses. So just kick them & use the hashes.
It would be really nice to have this available via https.
We moved to @findoutwho/hasbeen.in - it still links to my account.
I'm not sure, but I believe that yesterday I could run the specs using simply rspec
.
Today this ends in a lot of errors because the real yaml files are used instead of the ones in the spec/files
folder.
Any ideas?
If i run the specs this way everything is fine:
RACK_ENV=test rspec
It would be nice if it would be possible to get to a locations page by clicking the marker on the overview map.
Found after #69 was merged. Non-Unicode Cities like Санкт-Петербург
cannot be displayed.
Might be a regression from #51 - I can remember that cities like Wrocław could be displayed.
I think it's for everyone: http://eljojo.hasbeen.in/
it knows he's been there but
must be a case issue...
When merging #51 we already knew that using a timeout won't be the best solution here. Good news is, @klausmeyer has something cooking in klausmeyer/hasbeen.in@1a6901e456d39900f93cb37a39ba41ce5fb2fdba which will resolve this problem.
We're already checking for parser errors but as seen in #170 we should just validate the travellers Yaml files against a proper Yaml-spec.
Blimey, there are no "back" or "home" buttons in the users profile page: (e.g.) http://bascht.hasbeen.in leading back to http://www.hasbeen.in.
Dunno when the warning appeared first - but apparently we've been running on webrick all the time.
