I did get some errors during the installation process :
code --install-extension salesforce.salesforcedx-vscode

Hi @idanblich, what steps are you following to remove the extensions from vscode and try to reinstall? Let's try with:

1. exit vscode
2. remove contents from ~/.vscode/extensions that start with salesforce.salesforcedx
3. start vscode
4. check running extensions to be sure that all CLI extensions are no longer running
5. Install CLI extension pack via CLI like mentioned in #5291. E.g:

Installing extensions...
Installing extension 'salesforce.salesforcedx-vscode'...
Extension 'salesforce.salesforcedx-vscode' v60.1.2 was successfully installed.
