Currently it is fairly complicated to switch between parameters at the command line. Support should be added to allow INI files to be read into the parameters class indicated. This could be done prior to model initialization and would address #5 as well.

Since the model is sensitive to fields being initialized before it runs, a model validation agent should be added to ensure that the configuration is correct before the model continues to run. This should be an internal agent that is the first one runs, calls relevant validation methods, and either stops the model due to errors or disposes of itself and allows the model to continue.

Methods such as calcuateTotalBiomass may need to be frequently called and are quite slow in practice. They should be updated to be multi-threaded as much as possible. This may require an architectural change.

For situations where a more complex rule is needed (e.x., largest to smallest) it would be nice if the record keeper can do it as opposed to needing to model a marketplace.

Since ForestSim is intended for policy research, it would be nice if the simulation can pull policy Java Bean properties into the main UI in the same way that MASON can.

Incorporate diameter breast height (DBH) into the forest model, this should provide access to better estimation calculations - http://www.fao.org/docrep/w4095e/w4095e06.htm

Note that this specifically is a UI panel that is separate from the standard MASON attribute panel.

Currently there are a number of settings that are exposed in the UI that are not relevant to end-users. The code should be refactored a bit to hide these from the UI.
