rpi-img-builder's Issues

DietPi support

Would it be possible to add DietPi (https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi) as another OS option for the builder? I have been using it recently and loving the fact that it is lighter than Raspbian OS Lite and IMO more well featured including software browser, backup options, and a whole host of other features.

Keysever Fail causes image fail

This is my error log:

I: Base system installed successfully.
Executing: /tmp/apt-key-gpghome.IhBePtoSIW/gpg.1.sh --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 82B129927FA3303E
gpg: Warning: using insecure memory!
gpg: keyserver receive failed: Server indicated a failure
Executing: /tmp/apt-key-gpghome.0CIfTX9ELz/gpg.1.sh --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 9165938D90FDDD2E
gpg: Warning: using insecure memory!
gpg: keyserver receive failed: Server indicated a failure

It seems to download, unpack, and reconfigure all of the packages and then fails at this key phase. Any ideas what is causing this or how to fix?

My system:

cjkeenan@cjkeenan-Inspiron-13-5378:~/Desktop/rpi-img-builder$ uname -a
Linux cjkeenan-Inspiron-13-5378 5.4.0-56-generic #62-Ubuntu SMP Mon Nov 23 19:20:19 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

USB SSD compatibility on 3B/4

The work you have put in looks great so far but I have a couple of questions.

  1. Does this only work on Linux or is there a way to generate an image from Windows?
  2. Does it generate an image that works with the Official Raspberry Pi Imager or is the flashing method provided in the README the only way?
  3. Do you know where I can find a list of valid LOCALES and TIMEZONES?
  4. What is the difference between lite and slim variants?
  5. What are some of the reasons why I would want to change the boot partition size?
  6. What is the use of the proxy URL and if I set one will it affect any webservers that are being hosted on the pi?

Again thank you so much, I have been trying to find a way to get F2FS working on a RPi, and when I tried manually converting I had a lot of issues that eventually resulted in a GCC compiler corruption, so now I am starting from scratch.
