After adding some new tracks to playlist at the end there are empty list items with no valid index. It seems they have to be deleted upon adding new tracks.

that is an enjoyable application so far indeed. A minor issue is, that on Debian buster I get a segfault.

(gdb) run player

That happens to the plain vlc gtk demo as well, so it might be an issue within the library.

I'll try to fix it, but help would be appreciated :)
