exynos-usbdl's Issues

Cannot load larger files.

Hi,

So I decided to give it a try and corrupt the bootloader to enter this mode, and it seems to work. However, with files larger than approximately 100 kB, it crashes. Or my USB libraries are just broken. Also note, that my SoC is Exynos 9610, but I'm using normal mode only (it's the only such tool which runs on Linux, I couldn't find anything else).

Tools like Multidownloader on Windows from Samsung are working properly.

How to restore bootloader partition after corrupting it?

Hi,

Thanks for the interesting writeup, and for releasing the code.

I was wondering if you could clarify how the bootloader partition restoration could be done, basically I do not dare try out the tool before I am sure I can un-brick the device afterwards.. :)

Do I understand it correctly that we will not be able to access download mode once the bootloader partition is corrupted?
If yes, then that mean that restoring the partition can only be done through usbdl (somehow), or maybe by using samsung's kies software?
