meta-fullmetalupdate-extra's Issues

No ethernet interface on RaspberryPi 3B+

After following the documented instructions for the RaspberryPi 3 there is an immediate problem when running the resulting image on a RPi3B+: there is no network interface!

Looks like the required kernel module is specifically being removed.

Add an optional DEPTH variable for container recipes to control OSTree's pull depth

This variable should be optional and be part of the hawkbit container distribution's metadata if defined. It should control the commit depth to pull (see the docs) on the client.
This would be particularly useful when the user builds several versions of the container at once and wants to fetch the first one, or any version not part of the last two versions.
Because currently, the depth is is set to 1, so it makes it impossible for the client to fetch any of the previously mentioned version, resulting in :

Checking out <container-name> failed (g-io-error-quark: No such metadata object 27d0ffcca61186b7b2897a75787232e611870f17bc02494886c7a9eb22a75259.commit (1))

As of today the only way to solve this is to modify this variable in the client's code. This user defined variable would overwrite the default, and fetch the X last commits, so the client can checkout on any of the last X commits.
