Not a pressing issue for now, but before it gets put into the official Fedora repos, I'll need to remove this and depend on system libraries if possible.
When editing the content of a node, all keyboard shortcuts are applied to the tree window.
E.g. I am writing some text and want to delete a char with DEL, then cherrytree asks me if I am sure that I want to delete the node.
Or using SHIFT-ARROW-LRUP results in funnily moving notes ...
Idea what happens here?
Fedora 32, GNOME 3.36.1
I'm able to start cherrytree after click on its icon on favorites tray but after that it doesn't show its icon.
With thunderbird had a pretty similar bug (https://groups.google.com/g/linux.debian.bugs.dist/c/avkFxvmt-bM?pli=1) but you can fix it because you have a /usr/share/applications/thunderbird.desktop.
I have installed cherrytree from snap in red hat 9.
Thank you very much.
please update cherrytree-future to the most recent version. See: giuspen/cherrytree#774

i'm finally starting to use Wayland and i have noticed when i login with it enabled that cherrytree will not auto start and it is unable to use the system tray. it's fine under x11. would be nice to have this working with Wayland. i'm using the latest version of fedora and cherrytree.
I have dozens of cherrytree notebooks. Having it disappear in Fed31 really upset me. Thank you for your efforts to make a copr version. It is really a life saver for me.

cherrytree is my only app depending on libappindicator.
Hi
FYI, there is no more build.sh
script, to build you need to use cmake, you can read about it in README.md
Upstream added gtksourceview styles, but the package doesn't pick them up. It also doesn't fail the unpackaged files check. ๐คท
This is aspriational, but I'd like to remove cpputest so that when I go to package cherrytree-future for the official Fedora repos, I don't have to add cpputest, too. Looking at the cmake file, I may be able to patch it out if upstream doesn't.

I'm getting a debug message from cherrytree written to my /var/log/messages file every 5 minutes.
I'm not aware of having enabled debugging. Is this something related to the build?

the latest KDE/Plasma has polluted messages enough as is so anything to reduce logging to messages would be a help.
It would be nice to do this
