besc-g2's Issues

Issue connecting with USB

Hi,

After building the V1.1, I can flash it fine with the ST-LINK V2. However I can't seem to get it connected to USB. Windows always gives "USB Device Not Recognized". No matter what firmware I flash. I tried the one downloaded from http://pavlin.si/besc/besc-g2/. I tried the BL only, I tried compiling the VESC FW for this esc. None of them seem to work.

I know there is no VBUS detection enabled. But so isn't on the original VESC either.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. As for now it's a expensive hunk of capacitors :(

Spacing the communication headers and ESD protection

It would be ideal to provide spacing between communication headers to have possibility of latching connectors for communication.

Also if the hall and throttle connectors can have ESD protection it would be suitable for ebikes ESD tests.

Wrong component sizing U9

Hi,

The component described for U9 on the G2 V1.1 is USBLC6-2SC6, but this component at Mouser (511-USBLC6-2SC6) is SOT-23-6, while it suppose to be SOT-666 according to the BOM and the PCB. I cannot find a SOT666 similar component. please advice.

Besc G2 V1.1 Running?

Hey Galp,

a friend and I wanna build your controller.
We appreciate your design and the specs it comes with!

  1. Did you build a v1.1 version yourself and ran it? I'm curious as I'd like to order PCBA and want to avoid any hardware mistakes :D

  2. At some PCB sellers (like PCBway) you have to name the order of the layers. Which are the main 4 layers in the gerbers and in which order?
Do you know if PCBA providers (like PCBway) mount bus bars? If not, what is your suggestion to mount them?

Thanks a lot for your answers and for making the controller OpenSource.
