Getting Started

For the quick start, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Star this repository.
  2. Fork this repository.
  3. Clone the forked repository.
git clone https://github.com/<your-github-username>/Winter-of-Code-2.0-frontend
  1. Navigate to the project directory.
cd Winter-of-Code-2.0-frontend
  1. Create a new branch.
git checkout -b <your_branch_name>

Run the following command to install the required dependencies.

  1. npm install - install the required dependencies

  2. npm start - start the development server

  3. Open http://localhost:3000 in your browser

  4. Contribute

  5. Stage your changes and commit

git add -a

git commit -m "<your_commit_message>"
  1. Push your local commits to the remote repo.
git push -u origin <your_branch_name>
  1. Create a Pull-Request to main.

*TIMELINE*

tHE ENTIRE TIMELINE NEEDS TO BE SHIFTED BY 15 DAYS asap PLEASE

Add a developer's card in main page.

As a recent contributor , a new card has to be added in developers section WOC website.
With name as Ayushman Bhatt
tag - Backend Developer.
Photograph will be provided via Wp or any other source.
REASON : made WOC certificate generator , which will be added to the website soon.

Spelling error

Arrows of the FAQ section are not visible

Issue:

The arrows of the FAQ section are not visible and instead of an arrow, we get a place holder symbol. The picture below shows the current situation.

Browser Tried:

Brave and Safari

Possible Solution

We can update the symbol used for the arrows to 'โžค' or 'โžฃ'.

Wrong logo

As seen above, Developer Student Club isn't the logo we should be using. According to brand guidelines for GDSC, the new logos which can be found in the g-drive brandkit/logos/iiitkalyani folder should be put up.

bug - space in email address link

Bug description:
Space in mentors email anchor tag which adds %20 characters when copy-pasted

Steps to replicate

  1. Goto project page
  2. Right-click on any mentor name email and copy
  3. Paste it

Add sponsors title and images in Sponsors section

Data of the sponsors are listed down. Include Sponsors title and Image. Put images together of same category together (3 in a card)
