ansible-role-daemonize's Issues

Ansible 2.x role cleanup

One warning appears when running the playbook under Ansible 2.x (which will be released soon):

TASK [geerlingguy.daemonize : Expand daemonize archive.] ***********************
changed: [drupalvm]
[WARNING]: Consider using unarchive module rather than running tar

GCC on production boxes

Hello there,

We use ansible to keep our production/staging/development boxes as identical as possible.

We found this daemonize module as it is a dependency for the mailhog module that you use.

Ideally we would prefer not to have gcc installed on live/staging/dev as it increases the changes of a hack. Some discussion of this here: http://security.stackexchange.com/questions/12113/installing-development-tools-on-production-server-security-risk

Do you know of a way to have daemonize functionaliy working without requiring gcc?

Any advice / comments would be appreciated.

Cheers
Mike
