I can email you a checkbox image file to use on the site. We can talk about how to use knockoutjs to make this easy.

Part 2:
Modify the style (in style.css) for (maybe) in the "#main-nav ul#menu-primary-navigation>li>a" stanza. Search for "cursor CSS" and you will find options available for cursors. Use one of the built-in cursors that looks like a hand. (Also perhaps use this for the "#featureTable td" stanza. This is CSS and not either HTML or Javascript. CSS is a style markup that affects how website elements act and are displayed.

Add "Zoom Next" and "Zoom Previous" buttons to the interface. ESRI's help for the Javascript API should have samples. Use the knockoutjs click binding. Look at their website/existing code for an example.

Whenever the user clicks on a new data layer, the map should be reset to the default extent (showing the entire streetcar route).

Make search radius decrease (in map units) with map scale.

If multiple features are identified, when the user chooses which feature to identify, pan map to (and/or highlight) the selected feature, move the InfoWindow (so as not to hide the selected feature).
