I think it would be difficult to toggle the scroll direction on the fly, but maybe we can allow users to set the default scrolling direction in the config file.
Personally, splitting the double-page view into two vertical panels does not bother me much, so this would be a lower priority feature, as I am currently focusing on the MangaDex download/subscription functionalities.
I will keep this issue open so that I can come back to it one day, and maybe someone would come up with a solution for toggling the scrolling direction on the fly.
