Problems with v 1.4.0, pyqt 4.6.0, and qt 4.5.3 about git-cola HOT 8 CLOSED

Can you try this workaround and let me know if it alleviates the crash?

$ grep -v classicdockwidget cola/views/mainwindow.py > tmp
$ mv tmp cola/views/mainwindow.py
$ bin/git-cola

The combination of QStandardItemModel + QThreadPool + QApplication::postEvent() has been a little less than robust for my tastes. In any case, hopefully we can work around it.

I upgraded to pyqt 4.6.1 today and the problems seem to be fixed. The right click menus definitely work. I'll use it for a couple more days and see if the segmentation faults are fixed as well.

I am also using pyqt 4.6.1. And still having problems with right click. But only when there is untracked file and I want to add it (Stage selected).

Otherwise i haven't had any troubles yet.

That should be a simple fix. I'll look into that.

jacksonje - thanks for the verification! I'm quite happy that pyqt has fixed things in 4.6.1.

I'm going to remember this one since this is the 2nd time this has come up . The first time it was on Ubuntu and it was fixed when they upgraded, so it's good to hear that this has been fixed upstream.

views.status: Allow staging untracked files

These fixes are getting queued up for the 1.4.0.1 release.

I did not have any more segmentation faults after updating to pyqt 4.6.1. It is working great now.

P.S. I really like the new layout.
