subtracker's Issues

Remove CommuteStatusIntent

When invoking the skill with the following intent name "CommuteStatusIntent", the skill’s response contains an error. Please see test case 4.3 from our Submission Checklist for guidance on intent responses.

Steps to reproduce:

User: "Alexa open subtracker"

Skill: "Welcome to SubTracker. You can ask for the status of all subway lines, or for a specific line."

User: "is there a delay on nikhil's commute"

Skill: "There was a problem with the requested skill's response"

Need to provide prompts after delivering data

Should provide some prompt after delivering information.
After all trains: "You can ask about a specific line, or say stop to exit."
After a single line: "You can ask about all trains, or say stop to exit."

add cancel intent

The skill does not exit and respond appropriately when users say or “cancel”. Please see test case 4.13 from our Submission Checklist for guidance on skill exiting.

Steps to reproduce:

User: "Alexa open subtracker"

Skill: "Welcome to SubTracker. You can ask for the status of all subway lines, or for a specific line."

User: "cancel"

Skill: "Welcome to SubTracker. You can ask for the status of all subway lines, or for a specific line."

Change invocation name

Your skill does not meet our invocation name requirements for formatting. The invocation name must contain only lower-case alphabetic characters, spaces between words, possessive apostrophes (for example, “sam’s science trivia”), or periods used in abbreviations (for example, “a. b. c.”). Other characters like numbers must be spelled out. For example, “twenty one”.

Please correct the invocation name as shown below:

subtracker=>sub tracker

Please review our documentation on choosing an invocation name and update your invocation name and example phrases accordingly.

Change example utterances in the Alexa app

The example phrases that you choose to present to users in the companion app must be selected from your sample utterances. These sample utterances should not include the wake word or any relevant launch phrasing.

Please correct the second and third example phrase:

Alexa, ask Subtracker if the R train is on time=>Alexa, ask Sub tracker are the trains on time

Alexa, ask Subtracker for delays on the November line=>Alexa, ask Sub tracker for the status of all lines

Please see our documentation for more information about the words included in our supported launch phrases.

Add help intent

When users ask for “help” within the skill, it must return a prompt which instructs users how to navigate the skill’s core functionality. Additionally, the help prompt must end with a question for users and leave the session open to receive a response. Please see test case 4.12 from our Submission Checklist for guidance on the help intent.

Steps to reproduce:

User: "Alexa open subtracker"

Skill: "Welcome to SubTracker. You can ask for the status of all subway lines, or for a specific line."

User: "help"

Skill: "There was a problem with the requested skill's response"
