Module 1.1 Assignment

Given what you have learned about Git, why would you want to use Git in your classroom?

There really isn't an imperative reason to use Git in my current classes because the material does not involve coding and the audience is mainly undergraduate students. However, I want to save at least some of my students the trouble of not knowing tools such as Git, Markdown, and pandoc. In the future when I start teaching PhD students and collaborate with them, Git will become an indispensable tool for maintaining codes and documents.

Module 1.1 Assignment

Given what you have learned about Git, why would you want to use Git in your classroom?
Because Git is a platform that we can rely on for easy code sharing , without any advanced knowledge requirement one can easily use Git.

Module 1.1 Assignment

Given what you have learned about Git, why would you want to use Git in your classroom?
Because it creates a collaborative environment in the classroom where every each student can check out multiple logics for each code or problem and also solve other's issues in different ways.

Module 1.1 Assignment

Given what you have learned about Git, why would you want to use Git in your classroom?

Git allows version control, allowing the user to choose when to save a snapshot of their work. Version control may also be distributed, allowing multiple users to store a local copy of the repository on their computers. The repository may also be updated and stored remotely on Github.

This will be useful in the classroom, as students may easily access course materials provided in the repository, distributed repositories are easily updated for any changes. Students will save their coursework in a local and remote repository, allowing the instructor to assess their progress, and allowing a student to recover versions of work that may be lost or be able to switch back to an earlier version.

Module 1.1 Assignment

Given what you have learned about Git, why would you want to use Git in your classroom?

Because I'd like to increase the collaboration between my students, control how their work with a distributed repository and have access easily to their projects and give them feedback whenever it's necessary to do so.

Given what you have learned about Git, why would you want to use Git in your classroom?

I want to help my students learn real world tools. I also want them to be able to collaborate effectively on group projects.

Module 1.3 Assignment is not clear

The goals of the assignment are not clear. When we strictly follow the steps in the assignment, here is the result:

If this is the intended way to do it, then I believe there should be more steps or at least explanation of every step.
Also, diagrams like this might help with visualization (taken from Module 1.2 Video):

I would want to have git in my classroom so that students can learn about the value of source control and feel free to experiment confidently.
