THREAD! Here's something I've been working on for about a year, a charity called @GiveFood_org_uk. We deliver food to foodbanks around the UK - using technology to supply, in bulk, the food required in a timely manner

Here's how it started! Last summer I got annoyed at the state of politics the country, and after a couple of beers one evening I angrily got an internet supermarket delivery made the foodbank in where I grew up @sidvalleyfood

When they got the successfully got the delivery I wondered if this would work in other places - so I got deliveries made to @brixtonfoodbank, Helston & Lizard, and @southwarkfoodbk. A year later and we've built a system that monitors foodbank needs, generates orders, gives notifications of deliveries, does CRM, and gathers feedback. delivered xx tonnes of food to xx foodbanks - tens of thousands of items, and tens of millions of calories.

A foodbank that we've never made a delivery to. Foodbank.dormant is a boolean that defaults False then changed to True when a delivery is added
