Realtime Face Recognition app using:

Install

Run npm i in the root folder

Run

Development mode

Run npm run api for starting the API server
Run npm run dev for starting in development mode

Production mode

Run npm run build for building in production mode
Run npm run start for starting in production mode

Deploy

Docker build

Either build your own Docker images

docker build -t gjovanov/facer .

or us the build script with your own docker hub username and image name:

./build.sh

Docker pull

Or pull the one from Docker Hub docker pull gjovanov/facer .

Docker run

docker run -d --name facer \
    --hostname facer \
    --restart always \
    -e API_URL=https://facer.xplorify.net \
    -p 8081:3000 \
    -v /gjovanov/facer/data:/facer/data \
    --net=bridge \
    gjovanov/facer

Docker push

docker push gjovanov\facer

or use the release.sh script with your own docker hub username and image name:

./release.sh

build not working

with error :
warning " > [email protected]" has unmet peer dependency "vue@^2.5.18".
error An unexpected error occurred: "EPERM: operation not permitted, open 'D:\AI\facer-master\facer-master\node_modules\acorn-jsx\node_modules\.bin\acorn.cmd'".

DB approach and one technical issue

your solution is also a serious

aid for a project i am working on. But i have 2 inquiries and i hope you can assist me with:

1- what may be the approach to host the detection and recognition on the server side (Database managed)? my aim is identical to the demo you shown so what practical ways to re-implement that?

2- developer and production mode , what are the differences? especially that i ran the project in dev mode and ran the instance but training did not seem to work on dev mode ; so i tried to run with production mode. command "npm run build" worked fine but next command "npm run start" greeted me with errors:

Dev not starting

I have run npm install on the root folder and when I go to run the project in development with npm run api and npm run dev I get this error:

nuxt/client.js Module build failed SyntaxError: Invalid regular expression flags

I have a question: there is a file on the folder data/user which contains a document with sensitive data of Italian citizen, it's normal that is available for the public? The owner on the document has been noticed or it's a 'demo' document?

Hi Goran Jovanov,

the code is working perfectly on local but how can i access this app on another machine on the same network in browser ?, i tried by replacing localhost with machine name but post that on camera page it shows message 'This browser doesn't support WebRTC'
