$HOME/downloads/NotoSansMono actually points statically to /home/me/downloads/NotoSansMono, not $HOME, it won't start with $HOME/downloads/NotoSansMono.

Neovim doesn't clear messages agressively enough for my taste - making the message disappear on cursor move after a timeout would probably be ideal.

Let's say we've got window A on workspace A and window B on workspace B. Neovim tells us that the cursor went from window A to window B. Should the workspace be changed? Maybe yes, but only if an Nwin window is focused? Requires more thought.

GUIs could already get this by listening to the VimLeavePre (or VimLeave) autocmd and checking the value of v:exiting. In fact, neovim-qt already does this.

https://github.com/marromlam/sailor.vim allows seamless navigation between Kitty windows, tmux panes and (neo)vim buffers. Could you do something similar or add integration?
