unity-dark-skin's Issues

Unity switched from light to dark theme while using it and now it won't go back.

Like the title says, I was using the dark theme for a few weeks now. I created a build - that I've done many times before - and the editor randomly switched to light after building.

I opened up the application and it said I was on the dark theme. I switched back from light to dark again but it was still on the light theme. I reinstalled that specific Unity version but I have the same problem! I'm on 2019.3.0f6.

2019.4.4 LTS?

Hi
update for 2019.4 LTS plz
or can I proceed with the current app?

How do I compile it?

I downloaded and opened the folder in Visual Studio, but, when I click compile, it doesn't work, I try to run, but nothing ...

Please add support for Hub 2.0.0 & 2019.1.2f1

Developing custom editors to extend unity functionality i found this tool very useful. Sadly after I installed unity Hub it stopped working, i tied stopping Hub after opening the project but it keeps it alive as long as unity is opened.

Updated Hub today and theme switcher stopped working.

Re-ran the patcher a few times and it no longer switches modes.

Edit to add a few more details.

I've been running successfully patched 2019.3.0f6 for a while. The Hub prompted me to restart it to apply an update, so I did. After that, the dark theme was disabled, and running the patcher to flip it either way does not work. The Unity.exe file has not been updated, and using my backup exe doesn't help.

I can't run the Editor without it launching the Hub. I don't know if this is previously known behavior or not. Something changed; maybe the Hub itself has some kind of mitigation for the mod.

如何增加新的版本支持

我运行了程序,都告诉我不支持此版本。
然后我翻阅了源码,找到了Versions.cs文件。

我认为这些代码表示应该有一定的规则。
我想知道如何自己添加其他的版本,否则的话就要去下载对应的版本

Complete dark theme for Unity 2019.3 beta

Basically I used the patch on Unity 2019.3 Beta 1 and it worked but it looks like this:

Annotation 2019-09-09 000751

Whereas the official dark mode looks like so:

unity-beta-dark-cust

The title bar on the official dark mode also turns black when the theme has been changed to dark. Is there anyway to implement this in your "fix"?

Support for Unity 2019.2.x

As always, Unity Technologies patched it up again. I wonder when will they let us use dark mode only when an internet connection is available.

(just kidding patch this please)

PLZ Compile it for me

HI
Can u jst send me a compiled release (the .exe file only)

first i havent vs
second i cant download it now (my internet is f***** up and i m using vscode instead)
third plz cz i hate the gray color (disgusting)

It does not work!

It always report an Error "This version is not supported.Try another version of unity",what ever witch version.(I try the version of 2019.2.8f1 and 2019.2.14f1,and Hub version is 2.21.)

Build errors with VS2017 and NF4.8

I wasn't able to build, but I was able to use the offsets in an older/different version of the patcher.

Here are my errors. Yes, I installed the Net Framework 4.8 dev pack.

A Linux port

You know what? This project has already grown to the point that some YT tutorials and even some websites have started to point to this repository. It would be a nice addition to also have a Linux port so that we can also not get our eyes burnt down during night sessions!

This is technically a crack

Saying "it just changes a couple of bits in Editor.exe" is the definition of what a crack does. You're altering their proprietary software to get around an intentional restriction of theirs and it goes against Unity ToS.

Not that this is really needed anymore, they made the dark theme free ages ago. But probably not good to distribute this or recommend people to use it if they want to remain ToS compliant.

It is not working for 2019.3b03

It is detecting it as 2019.2.If i choose 2019.3 then it gives an error cannot switch theme. If i choose 2019.2 then it patches but the theme is not switched. However it shows it has been switched.

Error in console

Dark theme works fine but I get this kind of invisible error in console, this appears only when a change is made to the editor like importing a script or build. I even tried reinstalling unity and other methods too, but still this occurs. I'm using unity version 2019.3.14f1 .
