czech-step-by-step's Issues

Lesson 2

Create materials for the second Lesson (Kde je to?) based on the topics, grammar and vocabulary presented in the text book.

Czech meta-language vocabulary

The textbook uses a lot of latin or pseudo-latin terms. Sometimes they are along the Czech ones, sometimes instead of them. Even though this may lower the understanding barrier, it makes then harder to use Czech dictionaries and grammar books.

Add a table with translations like this one:

English Latin Czech Latin Czech
noun nomen substantivum substantivum podstatné jméno
verb verbum verbum sloveso
masculine animate masculinum animatum maskulinum animatum mužské životné

Lesson summaries

It should be clear after each lesson what have been learnt and have a reference (tables, cheat-sheet) for that knowledge. This provides the learner with a possibility to extend this knowledge, knowing what he knows and what he doesn’t know.
