demimove's Issues

pip install in a virtualenv on windows

I followed the setup instructions (with a small change.)

git clone https://github.com/mikar/demimove/ cd demimove

I then created a python 2.7 virtualenv, and installed the application via pip.

venv env/ env/Scripts/pip.exe install .

This executed successfully (or so I hope :P) but the executable created env/Scripts/demimove-ui.exe doesn't work. Nothing whatsoever happens on executing it.

A bit unrelated, but I think you should add docopt as a dependency so it gets installed too.

Odd starting layout

I'm using Windows and when I run the GUI, it starts in a very odd state of layout.

WTF Layout

But, when I resize any of the elements, everything magically re-arranges itself.

Yipee!

P.S. - This has happened once before with me on a tool completely unrelated. One of its options windows also used to start in an effed up state, but I don't know how those guys fixed it.

Is a compiled executable possible?

Since pip didn't seem to work for me (#3) I was only able to run the application because I already had PyQt installed and decided to execute gui.py and it worked. Others might not be so lucky.

A compiled binary (using distutils and py2exe) might solve the problem.
