Alyssa - An AI Mental Health Companion

Alyssa is an innovative application designed to provide mental health support through the power of Artificial Intelligence. This app leverages state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) and other advanced technologies to offer personalized mental health guidance, coping strategies, and resources. Developed by a team of four passionate students from ICT Ganpat University for a hackathon, this app aims to make mental health support more accessible and effective.

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/kariyaraj/mhc2.git
    mv mhc2 alyssa
    cd alyssa
  2. Install dependencies:

    npm install
  3. Set up environment variables: Create a .env file in the root directory and add the necessary environment variables. Refer to .env.example for the required variables.

  4. Run the application:

    npm run dev
  5. Open your browser: Navigate to http://localhost:3000 to access the app.

Usage

  • Sign Up/Login: Create an account or log in using Clerk authentication.
  • Chat with the AI Companion: Start a conversation and get personalized mental health support.
  • Track Your Mood: Use the mood tracking feature to log and monitor your emotions.
  • Explore Resources: Access a variety of mental health resources and exercises.
