FHIR App Examples

A repository containing example apps using Open Health Stack components.

Example Apps

Below are the list of apps in the repository:

  • demo: A demo app that integrates Android FHIR SDK with FHIR Info Gateway
  • cloudfunction: Google Cloud deployed remote function to write R4 data to FHIR datastore using Healthcare API

fhir-app-examples's Issues

Add single machine deployment for FHIR Analytics

Extend the current FHIR-app-examples by adding in instructions for optionally adding the single machine deployment of the FHIR Analytics to generate insights from the data

  • If not already available, show how to load sample data into the existing HAPI FHIR Server
  • Add instructions for single machine deployment
  • Provide samples for generating queries
  • Include suggestions for how to extend e.g. via addition of Superset for dashboards

Supporting gzipped data transfer between client and server

  • Evaluate if all the components (Android FHIR SDK - FHIR Engine, Information Gateway) involved in the example for E2E sync in this repo support gzip encoding of data for transfer with the server.
  • Run a sample case of sync to validate the E2E sync's correctness.
  • It would be good to have some performance metrics to compare the effect of compressing the data for transfer on the entire sync time of resources.
