It's useful to compare countries in terms of delay between cases and deaths...

fetch_worldometers_safely only once per hour

Check timestamp of temp_worldometers.html and fetch worldometers only if time difference is > 1h to reduce load on worldometers servers.

The accumulated number of cases/deaths is shown in the daily and % labels.

Widen the "Day 0 after ___ cases" slider to 1000

As the number of cases grow into the thousands, it's easier to compare different trajectories starting at biggger number than the max allowed now (200)..

A bunch of countries missing in relative plot

When countries are highlighted and modify the set of countries, highlight is lost

Also, this adds unnecessary redraws

log scales transformation, instead of 0.01, start from 1

When threshold > max number of cases of ALL countries, fails.

Be able to switch to actual Date

Sometimes lag between worldmetrics and JHU is 2 days

This makes the daily figures exaggerated (2 days worth of cases/deaths as if they happened in 1 day).

today's cases/deaths in the US are the total, not just today's

When I set for just USA, cases, daily, not log - or for just USA, deaths, daily, not log - I get basically a straight line and then a huge jump for the most recent day, because the "most recent day" number is being mistakenly entered as the "total for all days" . This only happened a week or two ago, before that it was working better.

Download plot does not work as expected

Sometimes it does not download the plot you have in front of you. It probably downloads a plot other user is seeing.

Consolidate two download_or_load functions

Also, include update date variable...
