telescope's Introduction

👋🏻 Hi there 龴ↀ◡ↀ龴, I'm Greaby ! /gribi/

I'm a Web Developer, Writer, Game Designer and Minecraft player from Switzerland 🇨🇭

  • 📰 You can read my articles on my blog (written in french)
  • 🎮 I stream game development on Twitch. I'm currently working on a game inspired by the old Windows game Chip's Challenge. The idea is to create a Mario Maker-style level editor and let viewers create their own levels to discuss game design with them.
  • 🇼 I co-organize Webmardi, free events for developers, designers, project owners, founders & many more. We organize a conference around web-related topics every first Tuesday of the month.
  • 🎵 I'm passionate about music. I play guitar, compose music, play with modular synthesizers and I love vinyls
  • 🎲 I play Minecraft a lot. You can find me on the server "Les Difficiles Aventures". It's a private survival server in which we've been building a contemporary city since 2013.

telescope's Issues

Manage additional types of metadata

The current architecture limits the type of metadata that can be generated to Authors and Tags.

In order to possibly expand the schema of data, it could be useful to be able to create additional types of metadata, preferably generated on the fly.
While tags could be used for that, the fact is that some key reference information would end-up being buried in the tags structure.

I'm especially thinking about custom classifications entry points such as Services, Applications or Criticality for technical documentation.

Being able to qualify cards with this kind of custom metadata would be, from my point of view, a huge addition to the navigation in the data managed by Telescope.

Rename the /data folder to /docs to make Github Pages hosting possible ?

Hi !

I recently discovered your project thanks to this article from korben.info. It wanted to try it out to host the documentation of one of my project. I planned to host it with Github Pages as it is a free and reliable service which I'm already using for my blog.

The thing is, I can't host it through Github Pages because there isn't a docs folder. Could renaming the data folder be sufficient for this use case ? Do you agree to make such a modification globally or to help me modify it in my own fork ?

As I have an intermediate level in JS, I can help you if you need/want to. 😉

Thanks !

Test and implement other centrality methods than PageRank

PageRank return sometime the error : failed to converge.
It depends on the structure of the graph

They added other methods for calculating node centrality to Graphology.

Interesting methods :

  • Betweenness centrality
  • Eigenvector centrality

Why not add a config to choose the calculation method.

Unable to start Telescope - cannot find module index.js

Hi !
I tried to run Telescope after cloning the repo locally and installing the dependencies through Yarn. When I wanted to start the program, it threw an error saying the index.js file is missing. I just cloned the repo and installed all the dependencies, without touching at anything yet. Here's a screenshot of the error :

Here's my directory structure :

Can you help me with this ?
Thanks a lot !
