Eleventy-load is a fantastic solution. I like the way it leverages the Webpack loaders concept. One small issue was I couldn't figure out the path to use for the scss file (until I read the source code). Would be worth clarifying in docs.

Numeric HTML entities such as + are unescaped when processed by the html loader.

This appears to be due to the use of JSDOM to parse the HTML template output. The subsequent call to serialize() cannot return unescaped entities to their original encoding.

I don't think its practical to resolve the issue in this project but have raised it in case others encounter the problem.

Why is this an issue

I've been using a template shortcode to obfuscate personal data (e.g. email addresses) by converting the string to html entities. This isn't a foolproof method but should hide the information from rudimentary scrapers.

Workaround

A potential solution is to post-process the output of the loader. The following gist is a simple loader implementation that will work for static information (e.g. the site contact email) eleventy-load-obfuscate.js
