Reported by whodoyouexpect in chat - it's possible for sync to timeout. We should probably allow a timeout parameter, and have better error handling when it's hit.

Right now we only support Matrix. At some point it would be nice to be able to integrate other backends, such as log parsers (eg http://www.nic.fi/~mauvine1/mircstats/), or other API-based products (eg. is there a Slack API?)

Having just got 19k events for a busy room, I'm thinking some kind of cache may be useful....

We're likely to want to get a set of rooms, either passed as a vector, or perhaps all rooms in a space, or all rooms the user is in. While this is not hard to loop, we should provide a convenience wrapper, mainly so we can handle any errors in a single room.

The Matrix API supports filtering as part of the query, so you only get what you need. We should investigate this, as it may drastically speed up the queries, depending on the goal of a given function

Right now we only output a dataframe of Matrix event data. We need to provide some off-the-shelf plots done with it, or perhaps a small Shiny app to explore the data...

Right now the main loop in room_history is quite capable of bombing out and leaving you with no data. We should handle errors and return something useful (possibly in tibble format) so it can be acted on - ideally without breaking completely (eg when iterating over a set of rooms)
