at this point there's not much meteorish about it, except that Meteor is just really convenient for developing and deploying this kinda stuff (and it's easy to turn into an Android app)

we could add some nice features to it though. chat? number of listeners?

The regular music players insert a notification icon that has controls on it, play / pause, next, etc. Nice option. Not sure how it's done with phonegap though.

I'm confused. text-decoration: none; doesn't do much.

Presumably the app runs in the background, would be nice if there was a quit option.

Some sort of user facing in-app documentation.

What does "soma,indie" mean at the bottom, what does "idle enough" mean when the streams don't play.

I get "idle enough" on most of the streams... :-(

Let me add / remove stations from the list. Use some sort of persistent local storage to store them so they persist between version updates.

Save the stream to disk so it can be played back later while offline.

I'd suggest splitting the recording into chunks, maybe 1M each, and then playing them back sequentially and deleting them after they've been played back.

A live recording, played back later feature...
