Hi,
I'm experiencing problems requiring the library through RequireJS. Am I missing something or it's simply not possible to use otherwise than through Browserify?

In case the latest-commit date doesn't give it away, please note that this library does not support the current 1.0 JSON API nor anything remotely resembling it. The spec has evolved massively since this code was written.

I'm creating this issue to ask the author to place a note at the top of the README to highlight this fact, to save anyone wondering why it doesn't work.

Like in this example :

Hi,

I've been looking for a good way to use a backbone app with a JSON API. It looks like all that would need to happen for sync support is to override the Backbone.sync method. I don't know if you've given any thought to this, but if I hacked at a rudimentary solution, would you be interested in a pull request for it?
